Full Moon in Aquarius August 2013
Full Moon in Aquarius times 2 – “Whole Lotta Love” Led Zeppelin
This Full Moon in Aquarius is full on August 20th. Some see it as a Blue Moon being the second Aquarius Full Moon in the last few months and it rightly can own that label. Even though Blue Moons are considered auspicious, this Full Moon hits all the right chords for singing the blues. With all the persistent push the Aquarius ruler, Uranus keeps hammering on us plummeted by Pluto and the Cancer stellium, leaving no stone unturned.
Aquarius sings to the tune of, I yam what I yam on que being true to yourself and stand out from the crowd. Conform, be part of the herd or be the black sheep and go your own way. Aquarius is the devil’s advocate who will support any unique mission or go to bat for you when everyone else has let you down. Anyone with a strong Uranus emphasizes the propensity to beg to differ au contraire.
The Aquarius Full Moon brings up the me (Leo) vs we (Aquarius) with team work, groups, crowds, friends, cliques, fraternities, communities and networks. When working in teams we know there is no “i” in team and if you are not part of the solution you are part of the problem. Either come together and utilize the strength in numbers or blow apart and go it alone. Considering diversity and inclusiveness, Aquarius embraces the full gamut recognizing a sense of belonging, cohesiveness and unity.
The Leo Sun takes a stand from being lost in the crowd and grabs the attention with its fiery expression over some squeaky voice edging to be heard amongst the mess hall as Mars in Cancer feels small and wimpers away in the crazed Aquarius mayhem all gathering awaiting to being taken to their leader. On Uranus anything goes with surprises and the unexpected. It’s a funkadelia festival full house fellowship featuring a fine fistful of freaky madness.
Mercury in Leo opposes the Full Moon and creates a tense bunch of semisquares with Jupiter Uranus Pluto forming a pronounced Thor’s Hammer (the Norse God of Thunder) with Uranus Pluto (also known as God’s fist) where we get a good godsmack up the side of our head to wake up and smell the coffee or the stench. Jupiter in Cancer makes a tight square with Uranus as it has been aggravating the Uranus Pluto square in the last couple of weeks all showing up with the violence and crisis in Egypt. Jupiter in Aries hit Uranus Pluto in 2011 when the Arab Spring first erupted.
Venus in Libra is in its ruler leading with grace. We see grace personified with Venus in Libra. Venus in Libra sees the beautiful side to life and appreciates an aesthetic sense accentuating the natural law of attraction naturally endowed with the ability to promote and encourage positive exchange with charm and poise. Venus Libra is the front lady you want to PR and present the face of your company with pleasing finesse and engaging elegance.
Libra is an air sign that adds a lighter touch and breeze to the Aquarius (air) Moon. Libra is a masculine air sign so while congenial and accommodating, playing nice is part of the deal to maintain balance. There is always a well thought out (air) scheme that knows the benefit brought by building and not burning bridges. Libra is the keeper of agreements and partnerships and ruled by Venus, opposite to Mars where any conflict, war or discord reaching an impasse gets the Libra gift of mediation, balance and harmony.
Venus in Libra creates a cardinal grand square crossroad throwing curve balls at walls ready to crack into climax. Here Venus Libra is grace under pressure. Whatever has been building and growing since the New Moon in Leo is turning its explosive turns and something has to give or gotta go. Relationships, partnerships, agreements and finances are in the eye of the storm and Libra Venus sets the course for how we ride this tidal wave. The grand square reaches an edge and powerful vortex equipped with the Full Moon to put forth a grand effort toward anything worth pursuing.
Venus Libra in the grand square with Jupiter Uranus Pluto until the end of August is lotsa love on fire and takes some of the d out of diplomacy and adds a capital F to let your freak out as she’s a supa freak (Venus oppose Uranus) femme fatale gone wild and obsessive in some deranged intense tragic love saga or manipulative witchy game and scheme stranger than fiction (Venus square Pluto) with some gargantuas coming to life (Venus square Jupiter) taking leaps and bounds to soak in all the beauty and pleasure she can with date night in heaven or in hell.
This is the first of several grand cardinal squares that will become the climactic push of the next year highlighting the last few hits of Uranus Pluto. In 2014 Mars turns retrograde in Libra which will create a grand square with Jupiter Uranus Pluto. From now til then, we can expect much significant change seeing our lives move to the next step in our evolution.
The manifestation of this energy is dependent on awareness and where we focus our energy and is available to align with a soul purpose and will continue to set up scenarios to be the catalyst to further move in the direction of your inner yearning. It’s a bit of a bumpy and turbulent ride yanking anything out of your orbit that doesn’t fit in with the bigger picture and plan (Jupiter).
Grand squares and tsquares are very energetic energies that give much impetus to get things moving and make needed changes or put in the focus to to makes things happen. Anything from changing a habit or routine that needs a new turn to restructuring a stale way of life that has become stagnant or addressing a lifestyle that a health issue or scare wakes up and forces a need to make healthy new choices.
With Jupiter anything in excess, exaggeration, expansion and in Cancer anything with the gut, breasts, home, emotions, family, food will be triggering a shift. What’s eating you and stewing, percolating to a boiling point may present various ailments or circumstances to address anything that needs change (Uranus) and powerful transformation from anything toxic (Pluto) whether that be health, family, friends, finances, relationships, habits, jobs, career, the environment, politics etc. This stressful and jarring transit is a powerful force toward new directions and opportunities.
Cancer has to do with roots and going to the core and Pluto with digging into the depths. These transits can prove worthy and get to the root causes of issues. Often illness has emotion (Cancer) as the root cause. These transits shake up (Uranus) the unconscious that hides and buries long held emotions or attitudes or feelings that get stirred up in the midst of these critical junctures.
