The climate of 2026 is living in interesting times. As Pluto moved into Aquarius, we see the shift of the guard in the US into a very Aquarius/Uranus stance (shocking and unpredictable) and in time for the devil’s advocate.
Pluto now in the sign of the maverick, Aquarius, is adding unpredictable and pendulum swinging response while the other outer planets (Neptune, Uranus) finally join in the air and fire parade where they will stay for many years to come. The outer three planets, Pluto in Aquarius, Neptune in Aries, Uranus in Gemini are all lined up to lots of movement and action in these air fire signs for several years though being they are all not in their natural element (Neptune and Pluto are both water ruled) we have a case of mistaken identity so can see where things will remain unusual, unpredictable and strange, albeit innovative and fast moving.
In April 2026, Saturn and Neptune Aries moved out of its conjunction and activated this fire air trio, with continuous ramp up of more bold wild adventurous pioneering action and upheaval seen clearly with the Moon trek taken once again to the other side –dark side of the Moon (“boldly go where no man has gone before”) and ongoing war and mayhem.
The lunar cycles (end of 2025 to August 2026) were sequentially tense and triggering, leading to boiling points mostly due to intersecting with the Saturn Neptune conjunction in Aries which played out most of 2025, finalizing end of Feb 2026. A stellium that began in Sagittarius in November 2025 continued to plummet issue after issue brewing into the New Year 2026 as Saturn and Neptune reached their move back into Aries to finish their conjunction.
2025 ended with a blast of angst with the Sagittarius New Moon square Saturn Neptune as Saturn Neptune reached its final conjunction we saw start March 2025. The New Moon in Sagittarius was a pinnacle high point (Dec 19 2025) just around the Winter Solstice. This very tense energy had the expansion of Sagittarius tightened with the restriction of Saturn while confused and chaotic with Neptune. What has been very apparent in this is the upheaval and overwhelm building through the year of 2025 seen with the tariffs, floods (Neptune) intense fires (Hong Kong and Toronto) mass shootings (Trumbler Ridge tragedy) and violent crime tied to mental illness (Rob Reiner), upheaval and uprising in Iran with protests ending tragically.
The New Moon in Capricorn Jan 2026 soon turned to a tight stellium in Aquarius with Sun Moon Mercury Venus Mars Pluto all closely lined up in Aquarius Jan 18 2026. This New Moon stellium in 2026 started the New Year 2026 with a bang that carried a strong Pluto message of reckoning that needed resolution. This stellium formed a tight triangle with Saturn and Neptune as they inched closer to their final conjunction moved back into Aries, where I had noted that big bold moves would begin to show up. Maduro capture, Supreme Court tariff turn around, Epstein Files revealed, Mexico cartel war, intense ICE immigration movement, violent unrest in Iran, Cuba crisis, continued war in Ukraine, Meta lawsuit for internet addiction.
The Solar Eclipse Feb 20 2026 also noteworthy as it fell on a former royal, Andrew birthday and it’s the day he is arrested regarding the Epstein files. It also brought about the Supreme Court ruling against Trump rule on tariffs just as Saturn Neptune completes the final conjunction in Aries. The tariffs were started just as Saturn and Neptune began their conjunction aspect in March 2025 with some issued during Mercury retrograde which sees the backlash now of illegal issue of tariffs.
End of February 2026, Trump chart is very telling and remarkable to watch. Transit Mars Aquarius was just opposing Trump ASC/Mars Leo while transit Uranus Taurus is over his MC square his Mars Leo on his ASC which shows an abrupt action, change in his public position (MC), with more shocking behavior with his sudden attack on Iran. Uranus Mars energy is very volatile and difficult to contain as it’s radical, unpredictable and reactive. This energy has been teetering on Trumps’s MC the last year as his rash practices have continually shown push back and where he is losing popularity (MC is public life and reputation).
What’s more is the shooting incident late April further showing sudden unpredictable attention to Trump over his ASC and MC-the ASC is the physical body and transit Venus joined Uranus which strained his ASC all while transit Sun square his Pluto in the 12th house (hidden agenda) more revealing was how little security was in place at the hotel.
End of 2026 into 2027 the fire air transits favor Trump and his renegade rogue agenda. (Jupiter Leo over his ASC triggering his Sun Uranus Gemini favorably, Saturn Aries favoring his Pluto Leo and his Sun Uranus Gemini). The only splinter is Saturn Aries straining his Venus Saturn Cancer and you can see that in how backlash with tariffs has him adding more restrictions further dividing the US from the world.
Mercury retrograde has shown clear delays and mishaps this year. Mercury retrograde in Pisces late Feb 28 2026 was the day of the attack on Iran. The station and turn around of Mercury retrograde is always noteworthy and where I typically see times for shifts, momentum. Starting anything during Mercury retrograde is typically not a good plan as things get missed, this time not anticipating the issue on the Strait of Hormuz. Starting the tariffs during Mercury retrograde saw legal backlash and repercussions. All this sees the energy focused on water and the issue at sea (Pisces) war on water Mars Pisces and the block, delay and repercussion of the war on water (straight of Hormuz) Mercury retrograde Pisces (water) and shipping at a halt.
The Lunar Eclipse Virgo Mar 3 2026 further escalating with war in Iran, while Mercury retrograde in Pisces with it stationing mid March along with Mars Pisces joining the nodal axis Pisces. New Moon in Pisces end of March 2026 is the poignant point of pressure upon all these lunar cycles the last few months as it conjoined with the separating Saturn Neptune conjunction hitting on the somber repercussions and heavy burden from all the chaos and uncertainty of the wars, conflicts and tariffs.
Once Mercury went out of its shadow and moved forward, the ceasefire attempts to calm the war. Saturn Neptune Aries conjunction releases and separates as we see some resolution attempts with the Iran war and other strategic moves to bring some peace though with further delays and battles once again due to Mercury in retrograde in Cancer most of July 2026 (more water concerns-Straight of Hormuz) ending with the intense Full Moon in Aquarius end of July.
Beginning of July 2026, Jupiter moved into Leo lining up to all the other air fire adding jubilant joy though by end of July 2026, with a Full Moon in Aquarius, this joy turned into fury charged with an air fire line up of energy (Sun Leo Moon Aquarius Jupiter Leo Saturn Aries Uranus Gemini Neptune Aries Pluto Aquarius). I anticipated this would be a hellish time of rage with Sun Jupiter Leo oppose Moon Pluto Aquarius (the wicked wind air of this Moon Pluto fanning the fire brigade of Sun Jupiter Leo (intense heat and wind with wild fires all over the world).
The eclipse season in August 2026 with Leo/Aquarius indicates air (wind) fire episodes to follow with Leo Aquarius eclipses into 2027 (most note worthy August 2nd 2027 Solar Eclipse in Leo) which will line up to oppose Pluto in Aquarius, an almost certain prediction of intense activity. The five outer planets all roar in fire and air into the next year with more hyperbole blowing hot air, fueling into tides of a free fall of future fanfare in fearless courageous pursuit and reckless abandon to boot.
