Blue Moon in Aquarius 2015
Blue Moon in Aquarius 2015 “Summer Time Blues” Eddie Cochran
The dance of Leo Aquarius is alive and kicking with the rare Blue Moon. The annual Aquarius Full Moon (Sun Leo oppose Moon Aquarius) is typically full of Aquarius ingenuity and Leo bravado and is made extra special with the Blue Moon in Aquarius. The Leo party turns into an Aquarius wrecking ball as Leo drama gets stepped up and spun around. Aquarius as an air sign, keeps open to what’s next and doesn’t get too caught up with any “big deal” The Full Moon sits in some isolation without any supporting or major challenging aspects making a time to feel like you are going it alone, although the Sun in Leo is pressing on building to a YOD pattern with Neptune and Pluto which can feel like there is some uncomfortable adjustment with a sense of confusion and fog, feeling as if circumstances are out of one’s control and dictated by a bigger force outside human intervention and control.
Aquarius always wants to get to authenticity and keep an open mind with a que sera sera (whatever will be will be) or in modern lingo “whatever”. All planets ruled by the “gods” require a certain mission to be enacted to honor their domain. Uranus, ruling Aquarius, has the upper hand in this Blue Full Moon with Uranus agenda for change, to break a link in the chain that ties you down. Uranus currently in Aries, and recently gone retrograde expresses the current behavior mindset. Uranus, in its yearly switcheroo retrograde, steps back from some shell shock from any recent abrupt toss up and repercussion (WTF) didn’t see that coming the last week.
The Aquarius Blue Moon is needing some detachment, space and distance. With Uranus in Aries, the mission may be pushing the me me first agenda and it’s all about me, looking out for number one in a long winded monologue, just gotta be me, with Aries courage that steps over any hurdle with enough self preservation to not be deterred by outside influence, social pressure or conformity at the risk of alienating and abandoning relationships, diplomacy and compromise. Aries thinks for itself and takes initiative from pure instinct and drive. Aquarius air is a breath of fresh air coming in to blow a hurricane in your world to rattle the cage and get you to sit up and take notice while shaking off any cob webs or blowing out the dusty corners, loosening up the trenches, throwing any previous Capricorn Moon caution to the wind.
Venus retrograde is sitting at station, making it the overarching theme, taking center stage during this Blue Moon and with it adding the blues or a proverbial let down. Venus is in the first degree of Virgo last two weeks just dipped back into Leo the Lion. We have seen the sightings of this with a story gone viral of a beloved Lion named Cecil who was brutally killed for sport by a Dentist (Dental-teeth ruled by Saturn) with him now suffering the Saturn karma consequences as well as putting the sticks to the cheating dating website Ashley Madison pointing out repercussions with any Venus relationship activity with adultery, cheating and philandering getting a Saturn correction. Venus Virgo (earth) unafflicted is fine tuned to the subtle and sensible with a particular polite, polish and organization getting all ducks in a row, although afflicted in its current turn square Saturn and join Jupiter, is on the side of picky, prissy, proper and even prudish with a hyper dose of critical and judgmental.
Venus retrograde is a slow down time, back off, disengage, retreat and time to hit the reset and time to revisit some of those plans that were put on your back burner. Venus retrograde Leo has some more damsel in distress drama in store with no time for Virgo finicky, fickle frivolous fuss and any wound up uptight sarcasm. Further, with Venus Leo again in aspect to Uranus Aries, its back to some zany action and uproar.
Mars Cancer finishes its square to Uranus the last week seen with some shocking sudden sport boxing with a sharp left hook swimming amongst the sharks quite literally as a surfer was caught live being attacked by a shark. As well we saw some liberating backlash regarding the legality for women to go topless and bare breasts (Cancer) . Mars is building to a solid trine with Saturn Scorpio getting things constructive and focused the next week as Mars makes its grand entry into Leo to join the Leo Fanfare the next few months.
Jupiter Leo and Saturn Scorpio are hitting a square formation just as Jupiter is making its last run through Leo and Saturn is ready to go direct from its retrograde, emphasizing the overextend of Jupiter getting the kick back of Saturn constriction. This tug of war with Jupiter green light go and Saturn red light stop is presenting an element of should I stay or should I go, yes no where Jupiter freedom and growth push gets Saturn restriction and responsibility pull bringing on real growing pains sung to a tune of “don’t let the sun go down on me” Hard aspects between planets tend to bring out the worst with Jupiter poor judgement and Saturn harsh judgment.
