New Moon in Aries 2012
The New Moon in Aries March 22 at 2 degrees Aries is a zany zoo of Aries pump with many waking up Mar 22nd morning with a burst of a charged spring fever. It’s a powerful alignment for earth shaking and shocking shifts of what is to come. This New Moon in Aries is a heady line up of Aries with the Sun Moon Mercury (retrograde) and Uranus in Aries all square Pluto. Aries is all about action and movement and new beginnings. With Aries the urgency is raring to go-green light and a Uranus electrical charge, with sparks of restless energy, anxious, antsy itching to get spring in motion into the next adventure and new exciting horizon. This New Moon falls close to the March 20th spring vernal equinox – Aries always begins during our spring renewal season. Mars is the ruler of Aries and is still in retrograde motion until the 2nd week of April. The edginess of this New Moon is already evident with a 7.9 earthquake in Mexico City on March 20.
Mars retrograde Virgo and Mercury retrograde in Aries gives extra meaning for this New Moon in Aries where many still feel in a holding pattern where the full steam ahead of Aries push and momentum is still halted with hesitation. Aries is all about beginnings and new ventures, being it is a New Moon, it is a time for setting your intentions for the month and in Aries-about how you will take initiative, claim your stake, reset your course and compass and tune it toward the direction you want to go. It’s a time to set the tone and game plan you can then begin to execute once Mars moves direct April 14th when we can all get ourselves untangled out of this collective Mars retrograde stranglehold.
Mars is retrograde back to oppose Chiron and square the nodal axis- a strong pressure point most of the week which may fuel all those Mars nasty moods of frustration, irritation annoyance, impatience and grouchiness. It’s a great energy to do the dirty work and dive into spring cleaning and all the dreaded tasks you have been putting off ( my office and desk need a cluttering fairy to magically appear and organize and rid me of the piles of papers). This is a good way to expend the irksome energetic grittiness of this formation. Mars rules the head and I have a nasty migraine once again. Its impetuous and accident prone energy so watch sharp objects and your step-I already banged my arm and leg-Mars (bruises) .
This tense Mars energy often can turn aggressive and violent shown by another gunman with a school shooting in France March 19th. Another story of a dozen elementary school children in LA who cut themselves with razors apparently as a response to bullying also shows the Mars influence(sharp objects and weapons). Typical with Mercury retrograde, travel plans and flights are delayed and cancelled with many having to re plan their spring break. I try to avoid travel during Mercury retrograde unless I have no choice and its absolutely necessary. The unfortunate tragic Swiss bus accident, killing 22 children occurred just after Mercury went retrograde and the grand trine began to grow. Apparently the driver of the Swiss bus was distracted by a DVD player-it only takes a second. Driving texters and those chatting on their phone while driving have been having me shake my fist as a few cut me off-does it take such a tragedy for others to wake up and see how dangerous distraction can be?
I had a pleasant Mercury retrograde experience and a nice climax of the grand earth trine with the Moon in Capricorn Thursday Friday March 15thand 16th that began to release and demonstrate the power of its manifestion. My week turned out very fortunate with many blessings and lucky turns in events. Trusting in the Taurus energy of Venus Jupiter to allow the blossoming and let things be in their own time and the beauty of those moments. I came from a meeting entering into a zone of Friday grid lock traffic (Mercury retrograde typically gets one caught in traffic jams)-patiently accepting it as is sitting with the stream of traffic.
It was during some erratic weather patterns building, watching the storm on the horizon-the black clouds with streams of rain. The rain quickly passed to sun and a gorgeous double rainbow that had many slowing, swirving… to watch as it was a brilliant show of color you couldn’t ignore, dangerous on a highway and not the smartest move during a Mercury retrograde but alas we were all graced by its bounty. This was my pot of gold at the end of the rainbow-fitting for St. Patrick’s Day –Luck of the Irish. I have noticed over time that rainbows show up for me when I am focused on the bright side.
I see rainbows as reflections of the wide color spectrum of all energies merging-messengers of auspicious times ahead and an alliance with a bridge to beyond whether you call it heaven or your higher self or soul or your angels or god. I believe you have the fortune of experiencing a rainbow as an alignment of your own beliefs. Just as the rainbow is a breakthrough of energy through a storm, a rainbow is analogous to a breakthrough of your own storms and challenges. Many rainbows were pictured around the shrine of the victims of the Swiss Bus tragedy. I had a very cathartic moment with this rainbow- a grief and spill of tears which seemed to have embodied this breakthrough to an inspirational soul consciousness, deeper and apart from what we think we know and feel on a rational level.
The last week’s earth grand trine which is now beginning to wane has many with their stories, many expecting some miracle and some who felt completely terrible all because this was their choice and intention. Expecting that something would just happen without any conscious effort is where many may have missed the boat. Everything needs some intention even if it’s just a thought. Imagination and daydreaming are not wasted dalliances. If you want to grumble and feel antagonism that will consciously carry to more of that. It was very true that what you focused on this week would show up for you-what you willed could and would appear-with Mars and Pluto as part of this grand trine and being in earth-manifestation was powerful especially material and mundane being in earth-substance.
I had someone complain of how awful they felt and how everything was going south-listening to them saying how they didn’t want to talk to anyone or have anyone bother them. It was clear they were creating their own path to this sliding downward spiral. Anything you focus on especially in your thoughts would be heard and only further accentuated- what you focus on would grow-Jupiter. A perfect example of this grand trine taking a nose dive, with Montreal protesting and policing gone amok once again as were the wind storms we saw here on the pacific coast beginning of the week as well as the earthquakes throughout Asia on the anniversary of the March 11 20111 Japan Tsunami. St. Patrick’s Day gone violent with rioting college students in London Ontario. Uranus building to square Pluto is showing its ugly teeth.
Uranus is associated with anxiety. Drug therapy and drug overdose seems to be in the media lately all related to anxiety disorders-drugs from the pharmaceutical industry where most seem to qualify for an anxiety disorder and depression-over prescribed drugs for pain that have proven to cause rampant addiction issues-instead of offering other remedies such as changing diet, exercise and other alternative methods. Where do you cross the line due to normal grieving, depressing phases and the up and downs of anxiety we all go through and allowing these natural cycles and rhythms without numbing out every emotional response becoming walking zombies and pill popping puppets to overcome shyness and social awkwardness or any passing mood.
Fires are raging with the Election Fraud and the robocall Investigation in Canada. This infused Uranus New Moon in Aries won’t stand for it wanting the truth (Uranus) fighting (Aries) for justice. As I said in my last post, transit Pluto Uranus is hitting Canada’s Sun Uranus in Cancer- the jig is up for radical confrontation. Mars Virgo in Canada’s chart is moving toward a return as Mars is retrograde which means- actions ( Mars) of the past (retrograde) are up for a retake or revisit. Transit Neptune (deception, fraud) is moving to oppose Canada’s Mars (actions) in the next year-deceptive tactics are up for call being not up to snuff.
