Full Moon in Cancer 2015
Full Moon in Cancer 2015 “Bad Moon Rising” CCR
The New Year Full Moon in Cancer starts off the year with a thrust forward similar to the New Year New and Full Moon 2014 as it entangles with the Uranus Pluto cycle once again. These Lunar cycles synchronizing with the New Year are on the pulse igniting a re birthing, guiding and pushing into a new groove. The Full Moon in Cancer is part of a cardinal cross accentuating the Sun Pluto Capricorn Moon Cancer Libra Aries Uranus nodal axis at 14 degrees. One is left facing any emotional stirring (Moon) and responsibility and reality (Capricorn) with a sense of dread and perilous foreboding (Pluto) and some antsy in the pantsy crossroad 180 degree turns in an unsettling restless spirit craving excitement (Uranus).
The Full Moon makes a potent grand cross cardinal aspect to Uranus Pluto and the Libra Aries nodal axis making this a Moon Wobble (Sun/Moon square the nodal axis), the middle child lunar cycle between eclipses, often misunderstood or neglected having a surprising twist with a more frustrating and crisis oriented edge due to the square formation. The nodal axis is a major indicator of a turning point as it intertwines in lunar cycles and eclipses thus the energy patterns extend over several months. The nodal axis intersects the past and future, and when in tight aspect with major planetary bodies such as Pluto and Uranus, poses a critical change of direction. Uranus sits on the south node showing very sudden and abrupt chaos the next few weeks. Any chart with 14 degrees especially personal planets and cardinal planets will feel this up close and personal (Jan 5, April 5, July 5, Oct 5).
While the Sun in Capricorn can keep a peripheral distance (positioning, status, reputation, business administration, management, government), the Moon in Cancer can’t help but be pulled into the emotional riptide and vortex of feelings for security and sustainability. The nodal axis in Libra Aries will bring up anything to do with agreements, fairness, reciprocity, bargaining, negotiation, compromise (Libra) and fighting for individual and independent rights, conflict, disagreement, self interest( Aries). The energy is confrontational especially with any shadow work forcing a face off and decisions with any unresolved hidden disowned parts of the self.
The Full Moon in Cancer, ruled by the Moon, in this tense cardinal cross aspect, has the mother instinct primed on the mother lode. The Moon is fierce and on steroids with attention close to home and what hits home. Mama bear comes baring all her teeth or breasts, showing her claws in defense of her rights and protecting her turf. All the touchy feely of this Cancer Moon can bring up rubbing the wrong way emotions at their peak, addressing feelings and being aware of them key to the Moon’s essence.
The Full Moon in hard aspect to Uranus Pluto shows where manipulation, power and survival tactics get maxed out with intense response. Uranus and Pluto are heavy hitting now into the last aspect this year. Much is changing and any crisis and pain is forcing stormy weather in all walks of life whether literally in the weather or in raising your own hell or in now or never decisions. Uranus is keeping it wacko and weird with a strange disturbance suggesting we are indeed living in interesting times.
Pluto continues to be the protagonist to Uranus, the antagonist as Pluto is the farthest reaching planetary cycle (248 years) therefore inclined to very slow movement and subsequent extensive metamorphosis and evolution drawing out more awareness and deeper consciousness. The slow moving outer planets continue to uncover their own purpose often beyond comprehension where dharma or cause and effect no longer fit into the equation or make sense of the chaos.
All the cardinal squares are equivalent with Saturn and building blocks, strength and endurance. Hard aspects force our hand to build a thick skin and forge ahead. No gain without pain and a right of passage can often only come by pushing through and marching on while wringing out the past and confronting the obstacles. All eyes are on the future with a haunting and daunting reminder of the past knowing that success is often breed from a bed of failure.
Saturn entered Sagittarius December 2014 and will cycle through until 2017. Saturn cycles show the shift of responsibility and structure. Saturn was last in Sagittarius in 1985 to 1988. Those born between 1957 and 1959 will be experiencing their second Saturn return. Saturn in Sagittarius is a time for the hard work and discipline needed for serious studies, higher learning, long journeys or publishing (a book) and may also pose limits and delays with long distance travel or foreign experience, understanding or experience with other cultures, religions. All those with mutable early sign (Pisces, Gemini, Sagittarius, Virgo) will experience the heavy toll of Saturn in 2015.
Saturn Sagittarius begins its transit square to Neptune Pisces which will see more challenge and repercussions (Saturn) fanaticism (Sagittarius) flooding, fog, leaking, deception, confusion, disappearance, uncertainty addiction, trouble/loss at sea (Neptune) (Airsia jet sinking deep in the sea, burning ferry in Greece), snow and ice storms. Anytime a transit is in its beginning, applying stages is where you see the burst of the energy momentum.
Venus and Mercury both enter Aquarius turning the other cheek for a more rebellious and unique approach. Venus and Mars make a harmonious aspect to Saturn aiding the Full Moon with steady and realistic discussions (Mercury) and goals with finances (Venus). Mercury enters its shadow phase as it heads toward retrograde on the New Moon in Aquarius Jan 21st. Mars moves into Pisces tightening up to a tense square with Saturn in the next week. Watch frustration and careful energy exertion.
