Sun Jupiter Taurus May 2012

Sun Jupiter Aurura BorealisThe Sun is building up to join Jupiter Taurus on Mother’s day and with the grand trine in air on Saturday and a kite pattern also building, and Venus moving to trine Saturn, it’s a time to feel sublime.  It’s sun glazed skies – hard for the Sun to hide with Jupiter at its side.  Sun Jupiter explains the extensive solar (Sun) flare activity and the aurora borealis surging in the skies. We are entering solar eclipse time (May 20) which is also heightening the solar flares as we have a build up of many planets/aspects joining the Sun.

With the focus on Sun Jupiter, we have an increased alignment with our power center and solar plexus/3rd chakra linking to our vitality,  leadership, talents, confidence, self esteem and healthy engagement of our ego and our right to shine and celebrate feeling special-for Mom’s to get some attention. We can also get stuck in the solar plexus with issues around power struggles,  inflated egos, excessive actions, exaggeration, stretching the truth and blowing anything  out of proportion.  Of course, another movie playing that suits this energy “Big Fish”.  At best we can increase or expand beauty and  just appreciate the immense beauty that surrounds us-the color yellow typifies the 3rd chakra-sunny side up (cheerful, bright, glowing) as the fields of daffodils in “Big Fish”-highly recommended-an epic story. Citrine crystals are powerful manifesters and igniters of  energy and power.

Sun Jupiter Taurus, we have a few days of increased desire for pure pleasure and feel good, happy, optimistic and joyful splurges including carbs-Venus ruled Taurus stick to your ribs substance-those cravings will spike, bbq’s are fired with extra enthusiasm for anything rich and abundant-big portions and heaps of second helpings of anything-“please sir, I want some more”…. as expansion of waistlines and belt buckles come undone with stretchy pants take over.  I got my joy of baking indulgent craving groove in full gear -with some added sweet sounds of the blues. Taurus rules over money which could also bring some extra cash-a lucky break or streak with (Jupiter).

The tone has somewhat subdued to a nice serene relaxed stream turned to pause and reflect with Mercury in Taurus.  The heady rapid pace of Mercury Aries from self focused, fiery energetic settles in to the practical and steady, unhurried Mercury in Taurus.  Thinking and communications will shift to deliberate, purposeful and useful interactions, tempered from the feisty expressive verve of Aries, now from talking about what you want (Aries) to what you can get (Taurus).  Ask and you shall receive-unless you ask, its no. Aries never has a problem asking for what they want, as they know who to ask, but Taurus adds a sweet spin to how you ask and asking nicely helps.  Taurus is ruled by Venus which gives the voice and communication style grace.

Taurus Mercury is about common sense and no nonsense. Back to business as usual as Mars begins to ramp up speed again building to a finale with another grand trine in earth we experienced in March now with Mercury Mars and Pluto lining up over the next few days, a fine time for standing your ground and communicating with solid and shrewd acumen, keeping your thoughts on a track with level headed concentration away from distractions. Mercury makes a supportive aspect with Neptune May 10 where creative communications with a sensitive antennae are tuned into the undercurrent of inspirational messages that take us on a new flow. With an eye to the sky and our heads in the clouds dreaming up our next steps along our path,  an inner knowing has it that where our inner guides are leading us to will naturally unfold.

The Moon in Capricorn May 9 – 10 brings further attention to grounding and with feet solidly planted on the ground.  Aside from Venus, we have all the personal planets in earth – substance with productive and purposeful actions with Sun Moon Mercury Mars with Jupiter and Pluto as well – I have been saving this time to get my pot plants and garden tuned up-really a great energy to literally dig in the dirt and get your hands dirty. Capricorn pushes us on to our aspiring successes where we spend a few days on our own achievements and accomplishments big or small.

The  Moon will move into Aquarius for the weekend which will give some momentum to our social activities, motives and causes and let our inner rebel and devil’s advocate out of the box for an unconventional, unique, offbeat breath of fresh air with some outspoken truths.  The Moon represents motherhood and an Aquarius Moon starts off Mother’s Day where we might engage in an unusual, surprising ritual – the Moon moves into Pisces as Mother’s Day develops and join Neptune and Chiron which then lines up into a kite pattern which will bring sentimental moments of compassion and tenderness.

Obama’s endorsement of gay marriage comes at a time of reviewing values- a Taurus theme – freedom, equality and human rights-a Uranus theme.  Obama is an Aquarius rising, aligning with America’s freedom, civil and human rights.  His chart, ruled by Aquarius, ruler Uranus is in Leo in the 7th house of marriage and commitments which demonstrates his liberal, progressive and open attitude to marriage. With transit Mars just stepping over his Pluto in his 7th house making a firm stand with powerful conviction about principles in relationships.

Obama has a strongly tenanted 7th house where relationships, the public and fairness figure into his agenda – having so much attention on the western side of his chart  -Obama seems to be somewhat at the mercy of the public and wanting to please everyone-a difficult feat.  With the Sun transit Jupiter in Taurus (Jupiter rules beliefs and religion) we have seen some inflated religious backlash.  Sun Jupiter is currently transiting through Obama’s 3rd house of communications trine his Mars Virgo in his 7th house and his Jupiter Aquarius Saturn in Capricorn creating a grand trine showing his sensible expression accentuating his current ideology on gay marriage policy.

Jupiter and Saturn will line up in a quincunx May 15-18 (if you can say it its half the battle) to get through this conundrum of an energy pattern. It is a geometric of five-150 degree angle based on two points putting one off kilter that don’t align or understand each other.  Saturn wants to hold back and Jupiter wants to grow yet with this incongruent relationship between Jupiter and Saturn, you may feel as if torn between options-a period where adjustments and sacrifices may seem perplexing where in order to move in one direction another has to be left behind-the forces can’t meet even straight up so they sort of brush by each other not really having any confrontation-challenging to reconcile both sides.  The quincunx is an aspect associated with health and work where it is likely we might feel the effects for the next few days.
