2024 continues with Aries/Libra eclipse season (Libra Solar Eclipse Oct 2023, Libra Lunar Eclipse Mar 24, Aries Solar Eclipse April 8 2024, Libra Solar Eclipse Oct 2nd 2024, Aries Lunar Eclipse Oct 17 2024) as a launch to a new cycle with opportunities for new beginnings as well as inevitable endings. Leading with Fire sign Aires as the first sign of the zodiac and trail blazer, taking charge while Libra on the south node is burning bridges.
Adding more fuel to the Aries fire, Chiron continues in Aries and joins the eclipses. The Solar Eclipse in Aries is in exact conjoin with Chiron April 8 with Mercury Aries in retrograde, setting the tone of some battlefield with battle scars of warrior wounds (Chiron Aries). With the Aries line up, it is time to stake claim to your own self interest, self care and independent quest.
With Libra on the south node of these eclipses, the default, fallout and weak point is anything Libra related with relationships, cooperation, compromise, air, flying, bridges, mirroring, reflection, harmony, lower back, kidneys, diabetes, balance, justice, fairness. Any area of Libra in a chart can see challenges in these areas all put to the test.
During eclipse season, there are always signs. There was a major bridge destroyed in Baltimore USA during the Libra Lunar eclipse March 24. Libra represents bridges, joining of sides. Next an odd earthquake on the US Eastern coast a few days previous to the Solar Eclipse in Aries. On a neighborhood walk, a large majestic hawk sat low on a tree, not moving, showing his wings clipped, (wings are air-Libra is air and Mars Aries Chiron (wounded); bird of prey that couldn’t fly freely and crows were attacking it. News in the media of flying, wings (Boeing) having major issue with airplane mechanics. We have also seen two major wars erupt in the last two years (Chiron Aries).
2024 is seeing a major shift on the horizon. The next few years will see the three outer planets moving into a new sign and into a harmonious angle. Changing of the guard starts with Pluto moving into Aquarius (2023). Neptune follows to move into Aries and Uranus into Gemini in 2025. Energies are all moving from earth and water to fire and air.
The start of the change is movement from stagnation, to forging ahead from remaining still. Restless, onward energy welcoming from many years of stuck, stunted, stagnant and stalled energy. The flow of the harmonious planetary triangle is already opening up channels of fresh air and lightness (Pluto Aquarius-air) with a new feeling of renewal. Synchronized opportunity comes along with harmonious energy as the flow of ease with a finger on the pulse helps things fall into place without having gnarled energy up against each other (squares, oppositions).
Saturn will join this alignment trio as a 4some in 2025 as it moves into Aries. While Saturn Aries will be part of this fire air triangle, Saturn Aries will join Neptune in Aries. Though the triangle will help to alleviate the tension, Saturn and Neptune may show the further repercussions of climate change and drought as Saturn is a dry planet on its own naturally, drier in a fire sign and Neptune in fire is further showing dry, possibly further stressed by actual fire ( increased heat and wild fires).
2024 the energies of earth and water are all aligning together before they move into air and fire, giving a sense of reprieve and relief before making the major shift. Uranus Taurus (earth) and Neptune Pisces (water), Pluto dips back one more time in Capricorn as this alignment starts to take shape. Saturn and Neptune continue in Pisces and though not quite exact, being in the same sign does draw these energies close. Saturn and Neptune are strange and odd bedfellows and do not work well together though they can help balance each other out and force an intervention (Saturn responsibility to any weak habit; such as becoming sober after an addiction causes much destruction.
Saturn is heavy, serious, reality while Neptune is open, whimsical, expansive. Saturn reality and gravity hits hard to get real on Neptune fantasy, rose colored glasses, lack of boundaries, wayward pie in the sky with a crash landing to the ground (depression, heaviness, hopelessness and apathy). Indicative trends of this water influence is floods, inflation, poverty, food scarcity, sinking-many news updates lately about sink holes (Saturn Neptune-structure collapse, Neptune -sinking).
Watch how any of these patterns fit into your chart. With the fire air triangle, anyone with early air/fire will see the wind in their wings again. Looking at what houses Saturn Neptune fall in will show some of the damper of this heavy energy, possibility of depression, dry spells, confusion, apathy and being a conjunction may show a major new cycle. The last time Saturn Neptune joined was in the late 1980`s where Uranus was part of the conjunction in Capricorn. For me it sat right on my ASC and it was sudden major change in my life uprooting, moving 3000 miles away from my roots.
