New Moon in Aries 2020
New Moon in Aries 2020 “Come Together” The Beatles
This New Moon in Aries 2020 (Spring Equinox) comes at a pinnacle time. The New Moon in Aries is a fresh start with vigor and action, moving forward facing any calamity as a new season is addressing a new global challenge with a global pandemic. The New Moon in Aries joins Chiron in Aries, showing a deep wound (wounded warrior) with a global war (Aries-Mars) against the pandemic. The New Moon in Aries, ruled by Mars, with Mars lined up in the super stellium in Capricorn, gives the ammunition to fight and challenge adversity.
In the last few months, the growing major conjunction in Capricorn (Mars Jupiter Saturn Pluto) has reached a climactic critical point. As Mars Jupiter Saturn and Pluto join in sequencing conjunctions, the mass hemorrhage of the crisis with the corona virus shows its teeth and repercussions. Saturn, Capricorn is related to consequences, bearing down on a snow ball cause and effect, and the ripple impact contagion, and how one small action, mistake, mishap, lack of safety, regulation can escalate to such massive proportions.
Among the astrological circle, there has been much anticipation and trepidation as to how this energy would transpire and manifest, particularly this heavy, pernicious growing energy of Saturn join Pluto, now emphasized to extremes by Mars and Jupiter. This marked new cycle has been progressing since December 2019 that started to see momentum at the Solar Eclipse in Capricorn December 2019 and Lunar Eclipse in Cancer January 2020 as Saturn and Pluto joined in their one time conjunction, with the impeachment trial, the conflict with US and Iran and the shooting down of the Ukraine plane, now seeing this increasing escalation of the corona virus as Mars Jupiter Saturn and Pluto merge.
The Solar Eclipse in December 2019, join Jupiter was a south node eclipse which showcases a fall out, a path of least resistance, with an overall sense of lackadaisical, lazy, sloppy when caution may be thrown to the wind, excess, so a time when things get overlooked and disregarded.
With Mercury retrograde the last month, communications and media have been in the forefront with a surge of confusion, frenzy, delusion, chaos, creating panic and disorder. With Mercury now turned direct in the last week, communications are tempering and getting back to a semblance of order, turning a table toward the spread of hopeful, helpful, harmless, to offset hysterical reaction.
Mercury in Pisces is moving forward from retrograde and making a tense semi square aspect to the Capricorn stellium during this New Moon in Aries this week, still raising worry and confusion, although Mercury Pisces will align harmoniously with the Capricorn stellium in the next few weeks to help set things in order with calm, constructive, careful, controlled, cautious measures.
A short interval of saving grace through this calamity is the softening of Venus Taurus aligning and trining harmonious to the Capricorn stellium. Venus is at home in Taurus and with Venus Taurus ruling possessions, money, the throat, practical measures, patience, singing out the virus and using the throat and voice to speak peacefully and sing beauty to offset the current darkness, as the dark side of human nature still seeps through during times of uncertainty.
The conjunction of Jupiter Saturn Pluto continues into 2020 although won’t come into an exact formation again. This indicates that we are in a recovery time with all the ramifications throughout the crisis (financial, health). Mars retrograde in Aries this summer will trigger this conjunction again between August and December leaving 2020 with the ongoing challenge of managing the crisis. Saturn Capricorn, (long term planning, denial, delays, strict measures). Pluto (elimination, destruction, investments). The downside and negative response of Jupiter Saturn Pluto is the extreme measures with obsessive-compulsive, OCD, fear mongering, impulsive, grasping, driven by survival. The upside is strength, order, grit, organization, determination, fortitude, focus and courage.
Saturn steps into Aquarius, and dips back into Capricorn in 2020. The good news with Saturn Aquarius is it takes some of the edge off the formidable conjunction with Pluto Jupiter, adding some needed social distancing, emotional rationality and a cool off period. Saturn boundaries and Aquarius distancing, moving us more toward a digital and virtual lifestyle, which will be further in motion, in the coming years with Saturn Aquarius stirring up the next big planetary angle as Saturn square Uranus, into 2021/2022 into the generational shift with Pluto entering Aquarius in 2023.
This trend with the virtual world is already becoming more and more the norm as younger generations embrace digital lifestyles and social circles digitally. Technology growth, social media, globalization, merging of cultures have all brought this next level to the foreground.
