New Moon Sagittarius 2016
New Moon Sagittarius 2016 “The Fool on the Hill” The Beatles
“A little learning is a dangerous thing;
drink deep, or taste not the Pierian spring:
there shallow draughts intoxicate the brain,
and drinking largely sobers us again” Alexander Pope .
The New Moon in Sagittarius is at a gypsy crossroads (between eclipses) as it forms a Moon Wobble (square the nodal axis in Virgo Pisces) and square Neptune Pisces. Sagittarius, ruled by Jupiter, focus is on gratitude, abundance and keeping a positive attitude in the face of negativity and harshness. With Jupiter now in Libra, the message is finding the Libra balance, equality, fairness and equilibrium as we learn we are no good to anyone when off kilter, disoriented and in distress. Sagittarius naturally focuses on ones blessings with Jupiter greatest gift of accentuating the bright side while finding continuous ways to deflect and diffuse negative, dark vibrations with a mantra of laughter and joy.
The New Moon in Sagittarius joins a stellium of Sagittarius with Mercury and Saturn Sagittarius. Sagittarius, ruled by Jupiter, resides over truth, beliefs, the law, higher learning and judgement with sworn testimony to “tell the truth the whole truth and nothing but the truth so help me god”. The Sagittarius manifesto is believing in something bigger and beyond the self. Belief is based on emotion, influence and a subjective sense and is not defined by facts or right or wrong thus beliefs are at risk of crossing many divergent sentiments and opinions, where one person’s truth is another persons fallacy, with truth distorted, depending on who you ask.
Jupiter rules over higher learning, higher education, going the extra mile in your journey. Jupiter reminds that a little knowledge as a dilettante is dangerous, only scratching the surface, and that investing in the discipline of in depth study gives one the necessary knowledge and critical thinking to make sound judgments and rulings. Lacking sufficient knowledge disrupts reasonable judgement and strays from a neutral unbiased perspective.
Jupiter is in positive aspect to Saturn into 2017, giving an opportunity to step back and realign, reset and find a center of detachment, moderation and taking responsibility as every action has a consequence, with reality checks in place. In any situation someone must be held accountable and take the blame. Like Buddha, Jupiter expansion and Saturn restriction find a happy median in their paradox. All quests for a dogma and spiritual belief find a clearer perspective, climbing out of a wishful and wistful, long dark tunnel of reaching for some idol or savior, to a more realistic and pragmatic course.
Jupiter currently is square Pluto and will tsquare Uranus Pluto in the coming months all during the US Election inauguration and throughout 2017. Just like the early bird gets the worm, the loudest and the most obnoxious gets first dibs attention with growing discontent, disregard and disdain for injustice and anything that doesn’t feel authentic. Jupiter ruling Sagittarius also rules over growth and expansion. As crazy as it might all sound, all the images and constant attention to Trump had him constantly in our vision and what you vision, or picture in your mind on a perpetual basis is what you manifest, including any negativity.
The power of belief infects a mass. One person doesn’t control the world; people do and people made their choice for Trump, on both sides (right and left) whether they voted for Trump or cried wolf and didn’t vote at all (due to Hillary spite). That the mass doth protest too much is almost a lesson of preaching to the wrong choir by those who most invested in progressive action, were also instrumental in enabling a leader who was the least sympathetic.
The New Moon in Sagittarius square Neptune Pisces on the south node, puts attention to all issues with water, drugs, deception, delusion, dreams, hopes, fantasy, wishful thinking (pipelines, death of captive whales, more drug elated issues with fentanyl, attack on OHS-Ohio State University, election recount). Neptune Pisces on the south node is the quagmire of all the irrational and the uncertainty that unleashed the kraken, rising and waking up a sleepy giant from the depths, opening up a vortex of unconsciousness needing to see the light of day.
The Fool is a card that has come up in many of my tarot readings recently, with the joke on us as we traverse on a trail drunk from the ale, spinning round and round, a shipwrecked ship of fools. The Fool takes on the notion of risk and trust in the unknown, having faith in something seemingly incomprehensible. Ignorance becomes bliss in taking a leap with a hope and a prayer, visioning and sacrificing, surrendering something for the greater good. Neptune Pisces on the south node is typically energy on the releasing end, focusing on the past, regressive, outlived, outworn and opposite of progressive (north node), drinking the koolaid potion of delusion where the fates turning point is to make one see the error in ways with two steps back from one step forward.
