Full Moon in Pisces 2012 – Once in a Blue Moon

Full Moon Blue Moon in Pisces Full Moon in Pisces 2012 – Once in a Blue Moon.

This rare  Blue Moon in Pisces is merging into an oasis of rapture.  The polarity of Virgo/Pisces- there is a pearl of wisdom with the Pisces Moon invoking the Virgo Sun ruled by Mercury handing out the way to the divine process of unfolding Pisces sacred knowing.  The iridescent glow of the pearl, a small delicate specimen and form of beauty created from hidden grit, irritation and hard work.  Virgo’s humble and task oriented work ethic behind the scenes efforts that produce the thing of perfection however small the package.

Sabian Symbol. “A Jockey.  This is the symbol of the eagerness for life an individual must show in any true revelation of himself, out of the concern he must have for the struggles and competitions of everyday experience.  It is only through thoroughly consistent performance of his skills and talents that man establishes himself among his fellows, and as this develops in excellence he is under increasing obligation to be successful in exhibiting them.  Implicit in the symbolism are very harsh penalties for any failure to drive the capabilities of self to the limit.  The keyword is practice…”

US Election Conventions under way-the Sabian Symbol depicts the horse race is on.  This symbolism is relevant with the theme of the Virgo influence of practice makes perfect. Virgo strives for raising the bar and always keeping on the level of improvement, fine tuning and diligent effort to bring the task at hand to form.  Virgo earth is handy by nature, natural crafters and fine masters of meticulous detailed workmanship. Virgo is Mercury ruled that sifts and sorts through the mess and polishes to add the finishing touch with simplicity and purity.

The earth influence of Virgo has a settling sense as the summer begins to come to a close, the scents in the air of all nature at its peak of ripeness and fullness.  Virgo is the sign of the harvest, the picking of the fruits of our labors. Virgo Sun providing some kind of service- Pisces Moon echoes a kind of sacrifice or surrender to a needed obligation. The Pisces Moon allows a pouring through of divergent aims and indefinite terms adding an acceptance of uncertainty and facing the unknown that unleashes a layer of what lies beneath just below scratching the surface.  Pisces equates with going with the flow and allowing, receiving, accepting. Pisces is the last sign of the Zodiac that’s been there, done that, seen this and had those…Pisces the proverbial old soul, been around the block that just gets tired as they know and heard that tune a hundred times before knowing there is always more with another open door.

Pisces represents two fish swimming in opposite direction ever hedging for confluence hence the duality and unseen direction where the head can be in the clouds reaching for the stars imagining the next best thing.  The Pisces Moon is super sensitive to undercurrents and easily picks up on others emotional levels becoming a sponge to stimuli and impressionable, submerging in with the whole – and tends to get lost in the maze finding defining boundaries challenging.  Pisces need to guard their aura as their surroundings and who they associate themselves with can easily slip in subversive influence.

The Virgo/Pisces polarity provides the necessary discernment and objective distancing to keep balance with how much we surrender to the moment and how we keep a humble detachment with practical and useful solutions. Virgo earth and Pisces water form a feminine yin cooperative exchange of wishful (Pisces) thinking (Virgo). The Virgo Moon keeps the mind busy focused on the ball just enough to quiet the mind to take on the task of the wavering Pisces pull to distraction into mindless meanderings that find a flow in the zone where the mind happily wanders.  Often when over thinking,  duties such as cleaning or organizing or working up a sweat in exercise sets the mind free.

The Full Moon in Pisces aligns with Chiron in Pisces adding to a healing and graceful component and forms a helpful trine/sextile to Pluto – empowering, enriching and regenerating with strong powers of focus and concentration. The Full Moon forms a cradle formation with Mars and Pluto.  This cradle is in yin energy-feminine earth and water which is more receptive however with Mars and the Sun as part of the pattern, the action (Mars ) of the ego and will (Sun) is pushed through giving it is a dynamic and deliberate edge.

The cradle is a configuration that augers containment and enforces secure sustainment  – a cradle is created by an opposition, 2 trines and 3 sextiles (technically two talent triangles) where  the formation has a polarity point (opposition) extend and wrap around supportive patterns (sextile) (trines) that give a sense of protection.  It also focuses on one half of the chart emphasizing concentrated energy on one side of the chart.

Similar to grand trines and sextiles, the cradle can be complacent and give into letting the energies lie dormant due to the energy geared toward comfortable inertia.  However the usefulness comes at a time when one needs to step back and retreat to assess after crisis-a time to sort through the rubble in order to regroup.  With Sun Pluto Mars, constructive energy is available that can help to get things done.

The Full Moon shifts into the Scorpio/ Taurus lunar nodes as we move into a new cycle of growth and release.  Leaving the nodal axis in Sagittarius/Gemini where the path was much more yang, outward and multifaceted and mutable with many paths to run, the nodal axis in fixed signs feminine yin water earth adds to receptive focus, determination and persistence keeping energies much more tightly held and controlled.

Mars in Scorpio is naturally predatory and primal in its traditional ruler, Scorpio but in a much more stealth manner so surprise attacks/accidents can come on quite unforeseen.  Animal behavior has already shown its teeth in the last few days with a tiger killing a zookeeper and a cougar attack in a home invasion. That would include sharp objects-do as I say not as I do and don’t stick your hand in a blender when you are washing it forgetting the sharp blades at the other end…

Virgo rules pets.  I have already heard of pets becoming aggressive-a pit bull attack on a few children a few times in the last week.  Be on guard and keep your dogs on a leash if they aren’t trained, please!  I have had many near dangerous attacks from dogs who were not well behaved.  Don’t get me wrong, I like dogs, just not the kind that have a yankering to clamp their fangs onto my jugular or bite a chunk off my derriere.

Mercury is oppose Neptune and square the nodal axis-communications will no doubt get muffled and confused, distorted leaving much to be misunderstood or miscomprehended.  Mercury is square Lilith and Lucifer too-watch communications getting a bit testy and forceful.  Clint Eastwood epic speech.

Venus Cancer semisquare the Sun Virgo and square Saturn Libra.  Anything to do with finance, family and domestic issues, relationships may become stern, hard nosed, grumpy and rigid with some serious and somber repercussions.  This may become apparent due to stress with any security or safety feeling caught in circumstances that have lost their luster and don’t feel very fun or light with a depressing tone.  With Venus ruling over indulgence and Cancer, comfort and the stomach, you might find comfort in carbs…

Hurricane Isaac and New Orleans.  It’s a 7 year anniversary of Hurricane Katrina that devastated New Orleans and I wanted to revisit why New Orleans is now once again under threat and what markers show up in the chart.  Of course, New Orleans is vulnerable just as those who live in worn torn tornado territory or earthquake central.  Saturn is a 28 year cycle with 7 year quarter cycles which New Orleans is now seeing.  With the current transit of Neptune square the nodal axis – storms at sea. We also have piracy-pirates seize a Greek oil tanker- another disaster at sea… see Cosmic Cycles.

New Orleans has a very tense opposition in early Leo/Aquarius being hit by a strain by transit Mars Scorpio.  The Moon Aquarius triggered this August 29 when Hurricane Isaac hit. The Full Moon in Pisces triggers New Orleans Pluto in Pisces.  Transit Chiron is also over New Orleans Pluto Pisces. Pisces is ruled by Neptune (sea) and with Pisces in Pluto you see where the destruction at sea becomes symbolic. New Orleans Neptune Jupiter square Sun is also stressed by the transiting nodes and New Orleans nodal axis is being stressed by transiting Saturn.

As we near the Full Moon, the Moon Pisces will join Neptune for the last strain to the nodal axis where we may see damages as the storm subsides with flooding. Full Moons bring tides high, this Full Moon in Pisces join Neptune is clearly watermarked with a stamp of hurricane persistence over the Gulf coast that continues to revisit.

Transiting Lilith and Lucifer are square New Orleans Sun-I pointed out in my last post that this duo pair was going to be a force of contention the next couple of weeks as they meet in opposition over the nodal axis .  This is also showing up with all the beheadings (Algol-Taurus-neck) in Afghan which I am afraid is only going to get more intense as the nodal axis moves over Algol til the end of this year.

Hurricane Katrina in 2005 had transit Saturn Leo hitting this opposition over Mars Leo.   Transit Uranus in Pisces was over Pluto in Pisces showing the shocking (Uranus) destruction (Pluto) at sea (Pisces).  Transit Jupiter on the south node in Libra was over New Orleans Moon Uranus Saturn in Libra.  This south node influence was very weakening.  Chiron in Aquarius was pressing on the opposition over Mercury Venus oppose Mars.  Outer planets stressing the nodal axis always bring up some type of major crisis or event-see Cosmic Cycles.

The Enbridge Northern Gateway pipeline controversy is heating up further – Uranus square Pluto epitomizes the power of the people to grow against this (Uranus) Aries square Pluto (pipeline) (big business) Capricorn ( government).  Pluto is connected to pipes and any deep passageway.  Enbridge has been noted for their spills in the last few years-2 spills as recent in 2012.

Prince Harry and his nudity is a Uranus (shocking) expression-the sore spot sticking out as the“Royal Pain in the Ass”.  Prince Harry has most of his energy in his public houses-he already having a very public position can rest assure anything he does will be “seen”.  He soon has his Saturn return which sits close to his MC (public) which shows the glaring scrutiny and disdain and has transit Mars over Pluto Scorpio in his 9th house of foreign travel (Las Vegas) which is indicative of rawness being exposed. He has a reverse nodal return in his public (10th)/private (4th) houses as well -the nodal axis in Scorpio 10th house which just emphasizes his “privates” being exposed.

Nakedness is a symbol of the public houses (nothing and nowhere to hide).  Those in public positions grapple with this daily in their lives.  There is an underlying message with Prince Harry’s behavior-lives under microscope revealing every last detail and event, stripping every last piece of privacy. Why not let them have it all…stripped naked literally.  There, then what else is there?  Baring it all might then make all that familiarity boring enough to have the paparazzi go find other mysteries to unfold somewhere else.  Harry’s refreshing turn to “stick it where the Sun don’t shine…or a “a 21 bum salute” from his comrades…this Moon is for YOU.
