New Moon in Taurus 2012

New Moon in Taurus –Saturday April 21.  This New Moon in Taurus 2012 is a sigh of relief from all the feisty hard nosed energy the last few weeks.  It’s an energy to “Just breathe”….  It harmonizes with Neptune and Mars which takes some of the edge off  Mars which is sitting in suspended animation.   In any case, its a good time to connect with nature and the earth.  Blossoms are ever more sweet in their bloom, with every critter coming out of his/her hole.

Venus is the ruler of Taurus and likes harmony, peace, tranquility and taking an easy, relaxed and if necessary,  lazy pace.  The planet Venus is a bit out of the loop with this New Moon though aside from a semisquare she has been riding along with the Sun for the last few months which may have us draw out relationships and anything truly conducive to making beneficial flowing connections however Venus is fast approaching joining with the Sun which happens every year which always heightens Venus issues (relationships, cooperation,  diplomacy, balance, grace).   Sun Venus is an energy that attracts rather than chases.  By early June Venus will join the Sun in Gemini exact which is tied into a very unique configuration June 4th (Lunar Eclipse) that will emphasize Venus Gemini types of relationships which will figure strongly the next few months.  Venus Jupiter will be very visible in the sky as well as they circle close to the Sun in the next few months.

New Moon in Taurus is always a good time to start your gardening and begin the seeding. Taurus is earth based and fertile for growth.  This New Moon should be extra special for our gardens with so much emphasis on Earth-Sun Moon Taurus Mars Virgo Jupiter Taurus Pluto Capricorn.  This New Moon falls over my 4th house of home-time to start the spring cleaning of my home which I am trying to keep at a gentle pace (Taurus) and not over do it all at once. After which I plan to bake bread (no bread maker-from scratch just like mama makes)-and permeate my home with the fragrant scent (Taurus) of baked goodness.  Although I plan my gardening around the Moon and lunar cycles, the baking idea was just a fluke-just shows how the energies of the stars fit into the right slots of time.

Mercury planet of communication has returned to Aries – communications are back to lively, rapid, fast talking with swift exchange rushing headstrong again to some pushy agendas-firing up the ammunition to whatever needs to be said, expressive and sudden with direct honest say it like it is (Mercury Uranus).  Mercury is returning to the degree point (6 degrees Aries) it was at when it went retrograde and will sit on Uranus this Monday, April 23rd.  This may be a day when something needed gets expressed which may shock and take you by surprise especially if it affects these points in your chart.  By mid week next week communications could get heated and with power struggles as Mercury will strain Pluto.  This means bad, impatient drivers (Mercury -short trips)-I have encountered a few in the last few days-be aware.

Building up to the New Moon, the Sun opposed Saturn the week of April 16th which gave that hard core grind with heavy responsibilities and relentless obligations.  Saturn is the pusher-work til you drop, persevere through every obstacle and keep on keeping on… Juno (asteroid) is straining the nodal axis and Mars which is giving extra stress around relationships. Juno rules commitment and with Juno in Sagittarius-freedom and the need to expand horizons may interfere with commitments. Juno strain to Mars may bring up angry disagreements in reference to commitment issues and unions.  Taurus rules the neck and throat and where we wear our stress-throat infections, losing your voice, and strains in your neck might become evident the last week of April.

Mars is moving direct after being retrograde since January -full steam ahead, batteries recharged, its last snarl with the nodal axis and will again hit at a long stride from end of April til the first week of May.  It will be energetic and full of dynamic spirit whether angry outbursts or physical exertion.   Any time a planet moves direct it sits at a station immobile for a few weeks which adds the aggravation especially with Mars which needs to move. Anyone that has any emphasis in the early degrees of Virgo, Pisces, Gemini or Sagittarius will be feeling this and be ready for it to move on… I heard about many confrontations as it stationed at 3 degrees oppose Neptune.  Mars will then move to oppose Chiron during the eclipse end of May-wounding and pain points will be triggered.

Mars moving forward  brought many changes in direction and actions with the Norwegian bomber’s plea for insanity not being held up yet who has behaved bizarre and very shocking-pleading not guilty claiming his actions were necessary with his testimony and all the gruesome details.   The case with Trayvon Martin turned with Zimmerman now found guilty of murder. Gay activist murdered in Halifax also shows this Mars energy run amok. Mars going forward has shown the gloves off and the pressure release in the hockey playoffs with more penalties than in the past 6 seasons, ironically this year when it’s been deemed necessary to curtail the violent aggressive blows that have created much controversy with head injury and brain trauma.

Just watched the movie “Man of the Year” about a comedian who mistakenly is elected as President due to a voter’s computer glitch which is timely in getting ready for the US presidential race as well as in the Canadian Government and how we are still investigating election fraud with the voting for the 2011 Canadian Election.  The debates will no doubt be injected with some of that same humor-wild, out of the box, absurdity as it’s already been a soap box.

News came to light of pilot fatigue-seems an incident of turbulence with an overseas flight in January 2011 with Air Canada was revealed as something much different – the pilot was so fatigued he dropped the plane and then abruptly recovered just missing another oncoming plane.  This was just after a very volatile Lunar Eclipse in December 2010 and Solar Eclipse January 4 2011 which carried through months later as eclipse vibrations do. The interesting point to this was he mistook seeing Venus and thinking it was a plane coming toward  him-it must have been early evening or morning when Venus is  particularly visible and usually more so when closest to the Sun once a year.

I had no idea that pilots can take a nap while flying over 8 hours?  I really don’t like the thought of that as I already have a discomfort with flying. Automation of planes concerns me with taking for granted letting computers run such massive flying pieces of metal.  Uranus rules aviation and many things in the news lately with flights.  Now that Uranus is building to square Pluto in the next few months, I anticipate we will be hearing more. Bird strikes have been rampant  lately – 2 with Joe Biden and Hilary Clinton in flight just in the last few days during the dark of the moon.

As per South Park, you can “Blame Canada” as these are Canada Geese.  The good news is the pilots remained very calm (Taurus New Moon) with the emergency landings. The Shuttle piggy back duo was a nice Venus Gemini depiction-Gemini (the twins). I have noticed strange activity with birds (Gemini)  in general- the last few weeks-birds chirping (the same robin) at exactly 6AM for a period of 10 seconds 5 days in a row.  If that isn’t a messenger, I don’t know what is.

With the movement into Taurus, an earth sign-its 4/20 (420) in Vancouver again…I forgot and had to “weed” my way through the crowd downtown through a different kind of smoke break-another name for green day and earth day.

He also had a very challenging Saturn (detriment in Leo) strain his Taurus Venus (his chart ruler) Mars showing the propensity for his cruelty very much stemmed from his harrowing childhood-a mindset  which manifested as cold, stern, calculating, harsh, autocratic and bitter.  His Sun Taurus Mercury in Aries was oppose Uranus – radical (Uranus), rebellious bizarre dictatorship (Aries).  Having no mitigating harmonious energy around the Pluto Saturn and Uranus or Neptune shows how he slid down the notorious destructive path he did.
