Aquarius (ruler Uranus) rules over the unorthodox, groups, friends, social activities, excitement, electricity, aviation, shock and sudden change. This New Moon February 10th, a Moon Wobble, tightly squares the nodal axis and is crisis oriented, challenged at a cross point half way between eclipses. It is a cross roads conflicted ready to assess whether you are on the right track. This New Moon also squeezes a pressure point semisquare to Uranus further reinforcing Uranus (ruler of Aquarius) offbeat nature with a rush of influx and anxiety flying from the seat of your pants business as unusual. You say banana I say bonona with an electrical pulse where plans come to a grinding change of direction with a new course of action from some unseen rude awakening and storms brewing.
The New Moon falls on the Chinese New Year as it turns from the Year of the Dragon to the Year of the Water Snake. The Water Snake matches up to the current transit of Saturn in Scorpio and Pluto in Capricorn as Scorpio/Pluto (water as the element ) rules over the snake in Western Astrology. The snake is stealthy, cunning, slick in graceful seduction with a quiet underlying seething wrath that is ready to strike with any threat
The next few lunar cycles show a cluster and stellium of planets building into a combustible mix growing into a Pisces orchestra. Pisces naturally rules over the arts, poetry and music, imagination, day dreaming, fantasy, creative inspiration and a roaming sense always looking for some unknown buried treasure. The harshness and misery of Saturn gets a meltdown with Neptune mercy gently infused. This energy will bring great focus in one area over the next while especially with healing and respite.
Neptune Pisces rules over dreams and sleep-sleep issues and strong focus on dreams. Dreams unravel our subconscious, an opportune time to pay attention to your dreams both in night sleep and in your daydreaming. Daydreaming is a useful exercise which often gets labeled as wasteful when in fact its a time to allow an opening to hidden information, uncovering parts of your psyche often repressed and time to visualize your dreams. Pisces and Neptune bring up the past and those déjà vu experiences.
The energies form into a bowl as Mars Mercury Chiron in Pisces perfects a talent triangle with Pluto and Saturn. This sublime movement into feminine planets allows and is receptive opening a flow and healing (Chiron) guiding our actions to Mars and Mercury ruling over our energy levels and short trips, driving. What I envision with this is India where there are no traffic signals, no boundaries, but somehow everything just drives into place finding the zone in the chaos.
Pisces Neptune tendency to confusion can easily get lost in a fog both literally and figuratively where we are forced to take the long way home. Weather wise we can expect literal fog to increase as well as flooding. Mercury and Mars both in Pisces, Pisces fuzzy fish that moves in both directions where Mars loses itself from straight forward direction into scattered head scratching forgetfulness of losing your mind with a Pisces Mantra of “slip sliding away” slippery when wet conditions, escape, deceit, being lead astray with some enchantment or far off wishful thinking as the flow and flexible mutable Pisces has the inner radar to follow a hidden gps that may seem illogical or impractical but finds the secret route to something hidden.
Jupiter moving direct has shown its teeth let loose with several explosions, storms and fires in the last week all as Uranus builds up speed to once again square Pluto in May. Jupiter is slowly inching its way forward but not without some more bang up action to bust some moves with Mercury and Mars which will add some aggravation and over the top pushing limits that could lead to accidents and strains-watch for inflammation, headaches, heated boiling over episodes (burns with water, steam), anger, aggression and communications that get out of control with loose lips, pushy, over promising, exaggerating, impatient, going around in circles, medications and drug intake, overdosing, issues with the feet (Pisces) and ankles (Uranus). Pisces is a dual sign (two fish)so expect things in doubles or pairs.
Jupiter rules over the hips, thighs and in Gemini, the arms, hands, so watch the extensions, expansions of any kind whether with a spring in your foot that takes it too far or expanding waste lines or bulging hips-blame Jupiter. For me all Jupiter has done is taken my innocent foodie nature turned into voracious food junkie into my trunkie from overkill television and Jupiter too much of a good thing episodes of the food network just imprinting double cheeseburgers in my brain. I am also suffering from some severe elbow tendonitis.
Mercury will soon turn retrograde in Pisces February 23 and enters its shadow during the New Moon. Mercury is in its fall in Pisces. We can expect communications to get gnarly the next few weeks. Mercury rules contracts -best to get and keep everything in writing. Mercury in Pisces moves to imaginary poetic daydreaming more right brain steering away from logical left brain linear factual mental processing. Mercury Pisces drifts off into fantasy and away from common reasoning, taking out the filter. Mercury Pisces is sensitive and picks up on any underlying messages, often impressionable and a sponge of others thoughts and energies.
Venus is in Aquarius. Love is about giving me some space and a certain distance emotionally. Venus is cool hand Luke in Aquarius, friends first. Just before the New Moon, Venus builds a talent triangle with Uranus Jupiter. Relationships are exciting with growth opportunities. Venus trine Jupiter is the lucky in love and money and a good time for a little gamble as Venus also sextiles Uranus which could bring sudden windfalls. The energy is great for manifesting and attracting love and money, good time to wear green and carry green stones. Take advantage of this before Venus squares Saturn during the New Moon for a few days which is the last drag of those Saturn blues for a time with some serious business and possibly somber with some limits in love and finance.
The Super Bowl during the Aquarius turn is a social time for gatherings and groups. Venus in Aquarius adds the sparkle and friendliness. Jupiter had some hip shaking at half time with Beyonce center stage. Beyonce has a magnetic stellium in Libra with Venus Jupiter Pluto Libra showing her seductive appeal with lots of hip action (Jupiter). Beyonce has taken the skinny out of trendy as her curvaceous beauty (Libra) proves thin is not in. She epitomizes the Venus Aphrodite image. The power outage (Uranus) made Beyonce literally a show stopper.
An asteroid is apparently on a fly by coming very close to earth on Feb 15th. A rock supposedly the size of a football field – not a hoax but along with all the attention and weird stuff around football lately. It will be closer than most satellites. This aligns with the Quarter Moon stress Pluto. A nice prelude to Valentines to shake things up with some rattle, rock and roll. Be careful the rock you are wishing for on Valentines. You just might get it.
