New Moon in Capricorn Christmas 2011

Christmas 2011New Moon in Capricorn Christmas 2011

I’ll be home for Christmas

Just upon the Winter Solstice Dec 21, the darkest night of year Christmas Eve and Day is here once again as we begin to gather with close ones, to warm during the cold winter, father Saturn time-Saturn Claus.  A time when the sparkling, twinkling lights and vivid colors and warm festivities brighten up the dark days and nights.  A time away from the big world at large to the retreat of the comforts of familiar home-Home for the Holidays whether in Hawaii, the big bright city or your small town home or nuzzled somewhere white and weathered, snowed in.

Dreaming of a White Christmas, but not a White and Black Christmas gone near disaster for me where stepping out of my car onto celebrations only to have me meet up with a nice chunky skunky furry friend, wanting to add a real stink to my plans-my little Scrooge,  you mean one Mr. Skunk.  You would think in the midst of heavy traffic and busy noisy goings on Mr Skunk would have been long gone in his hole but I guess he was looking for some excitement too.

The few days before Christmas as the Sun leaves its station in Sagittarius harmonizing with Neptune adding to the spirit of giving and hope , the Sun moves into Capricorn and strains Uranus giving an exciting start to the holiday weekend with oddball (Uranus) the shocker up to spin you in a twisted dance,  the Sun also trine Jupiter and then on Christmas Eve a conjunction to Pluto giving the next few days filled and over the top(Jupiter) with lots of surprise, spice to sprinkle to add and mix to the egg nog with intense and profound deep feelings and powerful tugs at our core (Pluto). The Sun Moon will also sextile Chiron which may bring up some encounters with our wounds and sorrows and perhaps a turn to healing and softening and opening our hearts surrendering to love that is offered with compassion and forgiveness. Venus moved into Aquarius December 20 as it squared Jupiter and Lilith and sextile Uranus adding excitement, sparkle, dazzle and pizazz to our holiday parties and cheer.

Lilith has moved into Taurus to join Jupiter which will trine the New Moon.  Lilith could bring some airing of dirty laundry too-Lilith again as the devil’s advocate.  With Jupiter moving into direct motion the theme of Lilith Jupiter Taurus will become ever more the hot spot.  You have to look at what Taurus stands for and how that is morphed into Lilith’s need to abominate the lesser principles and purge and curtail the unseemly Taurus attributes such as stubbornness, jealousy, possessiveness, hoarding, stinginess and insecurity. Lilith in a Venus ruled sign brings up issues with beauty and self worth, self sufficiency and sustenance as well as pleasure and Taurus represents our value systems and possessions.

Taurus likes luxury and their creature comforts giving them a sense of safety and security with simplicity and peace of mind.  Many who have grappled in the last few years with their personal finances due to the economic crisis will feel the pressure come to a head with Lilith Taurus seen with tightening the spending and shopping where many feel the pinch in their finances and inability to luxuriate in typical Taurus style this Christmas.

Mars in Virgo is on its way to its shadow phase as it will move into a retrograde motion in January-making your lists and checking them twice or thrice makes much sense now.  Mercury is now moving out of its retrograde phase and will pass its shadow on the New Year, where ringing in the NY will be up for a last hit of tension between Mercury Mars as the Sun will strain Moon in Aries which will make for a stimulating night whether that be annoyance or arguments or lots of passion and dancing action.  Venus in Aquarius is always an open, tolerant, friendly time which will add a light and airy easy going vibe.
