Cosmic Cycles-week of June 24th
The week of June 24th started off stressful with the Moon Virgo creating a square to the nodal axis and Jupiter Neptune. This energy can be hard on our bodies and immune system (Neptune)-we may be very tired and require more sleep and rest during this time. Immersing in water, baths, swimming and being near bodies of water is a Neptune activity. Hydration of any kind including our diets-lots of liquid, fruits, soups will replenish-of course Neptune will have you like the alcohol kind of liquid diet-the addictive negative side of Neptune. Neptune reminds us to be gentle with ourselves through the harsher shifts and push of Uranus square Pluto. Mercury moved into Leo June 25 which should add some strategic mindfulness to the storms brewing this week.
The emotional intensity with Sun Cancer water – seeking protection, safety, shelter, and security is reaching a critical marker with Uranus square Pluto June 26th as the Sun Moon moves into a Quarter Moon in Libra creating a grand square and will reach a peak June 29th with the Sun in Cancer at 8 degrees tsquare Uranus Pluto. Jupiter square Neptune, Uranus square Pluto and Saturn turning direct-we have had flooding (Neptune), debris washing up on BC shores from the Japan tsunami. I had predicted flooding during the Solar Eclipse in May as Neptune strained the eclipse and Neptune Pisces in this hard aspect to Jupiter as well is showing the excess and raising water levels -Jupiter. Bird attacks in the news as well- crows becoming very protective of their nests (Cancer) diving at people’s heads (myself included)- more rampant with Jupiter Gemini on the south node square Neptune.
Uranus square Pluto is associated with breaking down any systems or practices that are outdated-Uranus is about liberation and in square to Pluto Capricorn-the force of change of old traditions (Saturn ruled Capricorn)-patriarchal systems, sexual slavery, discrimination, inequality, anarchy, autocracy. Many changes seen this week already-the new democratic government in Egypt, the Greek election and the state of the Eurozone and how it impacts the Global economy, the Syrian revolt, the shifts in our economic and political systems-the US election in the fall-much will be changing and those not comfortable with change will find it unpleasant.
I witnessed two freak accidents and heard of three just in this last week-it is a time to be mindful and aware of your surroundings-defensive and take things slow-don’t get pulled into or react to others dramas-emotions will be very piqued now. Incidents will be sudden and bizarre-a signature of Uranus (accidents, sudden, freak) Pluto (fatal). One was a pedestrian walking along a sidewalk shopping area who was pinned to a store wall from a car that was parallel parking and hit the gas instead of the brake backing into the sidewalk pinning the victim to the wall.
Another incident occurred with someone driving too fast and coming around a bend, lost control and just missed by a hair hitting another car head on and another where someone rammed into a building-the whole front of the car smashed in. It was so surreal watching these incidents – they keep replaying slow motion in my head. With Saturn turning direct and representing walls-this is the perfect scenario for this energy. A roof in a mall collapsed, a stage collapsed-these are all structures (Saturn) Pluto-destruction (Capricorn–Saturn ruled) protection, shelter- roof (Cancer)-collapse (Uranus). Uranus square Pluto is charging and ramping up the ante.
Saturn Libra moved direct June 25 and Venus will move direct June 27. Just in the last week I have been hearing many stories with relationships and deep soul connections – as I had noted with the Solar Eclipse in May we would find this a time of connecting with soul mates and especially loves from the past coming back (Venus retrograde). Much is happening now with our relationships. With transit Venus retrograde square Chiron retrograde in the last week – this is a sign of pure heartbreak which has shown up in many relationships-one of those times when relationships come to their end even though there is still much love. Venus Chiron can also be indicative of a profound healing opportunity in relationships whether that means resolving past hurts with current communications and expression or finding those places to release the pain of the past and move forward refreshed and renewed with those big past weights and burdens lifted and released.
Johnny Depp is an interesting case study of some of this current energy as it impacts his chart as well as Vanessa’s. They have officially announced their split although it was suspected for quite some time as they were not seen together –I had written about it in my article in January 2012-New Moon in Aquarius. Johnny and Vanessa have so many significant aspects to indicate relationship changes. Both Johnny and Vanessa have been impacted by the recent eclipses-in May and June. The Solar Eclipse in May strained both Johnny’s relationship ruler Uranus in Virgo and Vanessa’s relationship ruler-Venus in Sagittarius. Both his Uranus and her Venus are impacted by transit Neptune as well. Transit Neptune square her Venus – potentially a very difficult heart break transit-losing a soul mate like losing a limb. I often see and recall Chiron Neptune square Venus as one of the most painful times for love.
Vanessa’s Venus Sagittarius at 4 degrees is on the current transiting nodes part of the eclipses-Venus rules her relationships and Chiron has been squaring her Venus- heartbreak. Her Sun in Capricorn has been through Pluto transits the last few years-powerful transforming shifts – Pluto over Sun, can have a sense of deep betrayal and loss. Pluto is her chart ruler (Scorpio rising). Theirs was a fated union-she met Johnny during transit Pluto over her Venus in the late 1998 period. This would have felt to be a very deep love connection-powerful, forceful and undeniable.
Both Johnny and Vanessa’s Saturn in their 7th house of relationships has been impacted. They both have Saturn in the 7thhouse which shows the strong commitment by both of them which makes this bond hard to break or sever so when it does it would have had to be very difficult before a complete end. Uranus Pluto midpoint is on Johnny’s 7th house Saturn’s 23 degrees Aquarius. Vanessa had her Saturn Gemini 7th (relationships) implicated with the recent lunar eclipse. Transit Saturn Libra 22 degrees station over Vanessa’s Uranus is critical as this aspect shows a time squelching freedom-here her freedom is burdened by her current grieving misery of heartbreak.
Vanessa will have the Solar eclipse over her ASC/DESC this November which will stand out for her. Vanessa’s Mars will soon be transited by the nodal axis and over Johnny’s Venus—they have a Mars Venus in opposition which is very compelling and magnetic however it can be tempestuous and difficult to manage. Johnny and Vanessa both have some very specific points to transit Uranus square Pluto and transit Saturn. Uranus square Pluto – square Vanessa’s Pluto-the last year and into this year. Being Johnny is very Uranus ruled and Uranus ruling his relationships, the current Uranus square Pluto is significant for him.
As stated in my other article, Uranus square Pluto is a time of major beginnings and endings. Uranus square Pluto midpoint in Aquarius at 23 degrees is significant. Anyone with Aquarius 23 degrees is going to be pulled into this storm as well as Leo 23 degrees-the opposing point of the midpoint. Uranus Pluto is a stormy time whether in the weather, relationships, health etc.-somehow we will all have some storm or another. Storms are powerful chargers of change-but we get sweet rainbows too-there is always the hope of rainbows after storms.
