The Full Moon in Aquarius is a Supermoon (Perigee Moon) where the Moon is closest in its orbit to earth thus appearing very close and large. The annual Perseid meteor showers follow the Supermoon however the view will be blotted out by the brightness of the Supermoon. Summer is at its peak in the season where Leo reigns supreme and still runs the show soaking up the heat in swimsuits and flip flops. While the Leo Sun continues to craft a creative center of attention, the Aquarius Moon reminds us that it’s not “all about me” and disperses into a wider audience and group, emotionally detached with some distance helping to see an impersonal clearer perspective in the midst of any emotional smog.
Aquarius rules over friends, groups, communities and team work with a broad spectrum and a sense of safety in numbers in social circles where the more the merrier. With Aquarius it’s more of the atypical and something different with a dash of the crazies. The saying “the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over again and expecting different results” must have been coined by an Aquarius.
The Full Moon creates a tense tsquare with Saturn Scorpio making waves with a high tide over some rocky shores. Things get serious and with some crying of the blues all bunched up in a fixed energy in a bind. The whip gets cracked with some iron fists pounding the table with a deflating “you are not all that and a bag of chips” putting a damper on the “ mirror mirror on the wall whose the fairest of them all” taking the Leo ego down a few notches with a Saturn reality check. Saturn authority cuts through any bull, finger wagging at any slack. Reputations may be at stake with some bossy throwing around weight, superiority or rank.
The last New Moon in Leo on Jupiter over joy feels over rated now where Jupiter isn’t feeling so jolly. We are hard pressed and hardened by the Saturn dark cloud bringing on a gloomy perspective with consequences and a sense of defeat with a push to keep going demanding more of the grind. Rather than play now pay later, it’s more of the pay now and play later Saturn ambitious hard at work bringing results, success and achievement.
The Full Moon in Aquarius pushes the envelope to keep things interesting. Saturn restrictions and limits get a ready mix of Uranus breaking out of any barriers. Uranus is the ruler of Aquarius and makes their own rules away from convention and tradition. While Saturn is playing politics, rubbing us the wrong way with some cold shoulders, Uranus stays authentic and comes to the rescue helping to circumvent and offset the hard Saturn angle making a harmonious aspect to the full Moon adding to some sparkle and excitement and an escape route open to run free and get off the beaten path. The nodal axis also compliments the Full Moon, where group gatherings have a fit and feel close knit.
Mercury in Leo has something to say. Expression and communication in Leo is getting something off your chest bordering on arrogance when afflicted. Mercury Leo joins the Full Moon hard aspect to Saturn where pride comes before the fall with harsh words and strict measures and pessimistic negative naysayers with no cutting corners or taking the easy way out. Watch for traffic jams and communication breakdown as well as health issues with the skin, knees and depression.
Recent computer hacking has escalated showing the wears on security and private (Scorpio) information where scrutiny and tighter measures (Saturn) are called for. Saturn hard on Mercury, although the discouraging party pooper, does strengthen mind (Mercury) control (Saturn) in fixed signs, helping to get to crux of anything due to cutting through any haze or crap, without any sugar coating with some solid boundaries and responsible measures. Saturn in hard aspect is often time for some correction and accountability.
The Full Moon is further mangled with Lilith in Leo. Lilith Leo on the Leo Sun oppose Aquarius Moon, takes center stage and cranks out any raw rampage and won’t cower into a wallflower with any oppression. The bitch is back rearing her ugly head and if there is anything spoiling for a fight ready to be unleashed, Lilith will force a hand. Lilith Leo empowers the feminine power center. The Sun ruling Leo is naturally bestowed to the masculine and yang where Leo Lilith fierce pure intent matches in her ying feminine mystique with no second class, subservient role snuffing out any inequality or patriotism.
Uranus and Saturn are breaking out of their uncomfortable 150 degree grasp where Uranus anxiety looking for an escape door is piped up to get the Saturn hard nose squelching off your back emphasizing the squeeze between Saturn rules and Uranus rebellion. Uranus under strain brings up shocks, sudden abrupt shifts and change.
Jupiter Leo also makes a 150 angle with Neptune Pisces for most of August. Adjustments around expanding and letting things drift may be pulling at our heart strings. Some longing and yearning (Neptune) feel a whimsical tug as Jupiter hopeful uplifting desires is tinged with some Neptune uncertainty. Vanity (Leo) may see some calamity with Leo pride getting a rap with Neptune Pisces obscuring and clouding the view. Don’t be fooled by appearances, things are not what they seem and what you see is not what you get. Neptune is also making a hard angle with the nodal axis further emphasizing confusion, disorientation and disorder the next few months and maybe wobbly in the knees.
Mars Scorpio is making its way from softer pastures just out of a trine to Neptune to driving hard pushing and pursuing with a willful yet subversive style in line with Pluto the next week and join Saturn in Scorpio keeping energies deliberate and determined. Venus in Cancer is somewhat out of the loop where preserving relationships and bonding is low on the priority. Venus moves into Leo August 12th and will join Jupiter Leo with warm, open, dramatic connections around the corner.
