Full Moon in Capricorn 2014

Full moon in Capricorn 2014Full Moon in Capricorn 2014 “Call me the Breeze” J J Cale

The Full Moon in Capricorn moves forward and lifts off from six months of heavy weight, waiting and holding patterns that crystallizes the New Moon in Capricorn in January 2014 that started the imprisoning grip and strangle hold. The long 6 month hiatus of retrogrades emphasizes igniting  a sense of release onto a new launching pad ready to let loose with a green light or run through red lights setting the wheels in motion and the balls rolling beckoning onward out of the perpetual revolving door.

The calculating Full Moon in Capricorn is tensed up in a crisis point with the Libra/Aries nodal axis creating a Moon Wobble at a cross purpose.  The nodal axis accentuates the future and past and will draw out and pull out all stops to shake off the cob webs and reflect on future plans (north node) and past habits (south node).  The south node Aries point is itching for action, antsy and impatient where the Libra north node is pushing us toward compromise, diplomacy and balance.  It’s typically a challenge to give up and let go of what feels comfortable, secure  or familiar (south node) and move toward the unknown (north node) which may feel more pronounced at this time.

Jupiter in Cancer, in its last few weeks stresses the Cancer Sun sense of security and emotional sensitivity opposing the Capricorn Moon no nonsense approach where emotions don’t hold their grip putting authority, leadership, ambition and success as the focal point. The Moon in Capricorn is considered a desert Moon due to the Moon in Capricorn in its detriment, where emotions air on the dry, cool and reserved side.  Saturn, the Full Moon ruler is activating a grand trine as well as a kite formation keeping moderation and discipline in line resulting in rewards and success.

The Full Moon in Capricorn is hard pressed to take it on the chin although the Full Moon is Jupiter infused with Mars the dominant player over the nodal axis as both Jupiter and Mars are in the forefront this month both for the Full Moon in Capricorn and the New Moon in Leo July 26th. As Jupiter and Mars change signs this month, anything Mars Jupiter related is amplified such as war, anger, conflict, sharp objects, burns, arguments, excess, speed, recklessness and lack of moderation.

Jupiter moves from its year long journey in sedentary, sensitive Cancer into fiery, expressive and proud Leo July 16th while Mars Libra leaves its long retrograde journey in Libra (since December 2013) moving into Scorpio just at the foot of the New Moon in Leo all adding to a dramatic and potent turn of events, pushing past limits, egging on a sense of restless longing for something more, bigger, better, expansive and perhaps just out of reach.

The Full Moon in Capricorn has a twist to it that is freeing, uplifting, ready to roll and drop any heavy load.  The Full Moon forms a grand cross that has a sparkle to its grand cross finale hitting up Mars, Jupiter and Uranus in one more round up as no one’s prisoner or fool.  As the cross separates, energy patterns move off to their new directions leaving behind a trace of skid marks of the recent past left in the dust.

The energy is impulsive (Mars) having us readily succumb to our moods (Jupiter Cancer) with a competitive spirit fitting for the world cup soccer (football) fever and sporting events (Mars).  The urgency and aching for a release of any restrictions is primed as Mars claims independence and Jupiter accents freedom with no time left for any set backs or denials as Uranus takes off the shackles and unravels any tightly wound knots  with a welcome wind blowing away any debris and clearing the path ahead.

Neptune Pisces forms a Thors Hammer aspect with the Full Moon cardinal points accenting the Sun Moon square with Mars/ nodal axis which can bring up anything to do with feeling fatigued, confused, lethargic, leaks, flooding activated during the New Moon in Cancer the last few weeks where Neptune’s influence was whistling dixie.

Uranus Saturn in an 150 angle challenge the status quo creating new unconventional rules.  Uranus Aries sense of independence and need to break some rules conflicts with Saturn Scorpio deep and serious longing for intimacy and attention to tradition and conservative values.

Mercury is still in its retrograde shadow as it moves back into Cancer to finish its retrograde run.  Mercury began its retrograde in Cancer in a tense aspect with Saturn where it will complete its cycle which may bring up and resolve issues around Saturn (skin, knees) and Cancer (stomach, breasts, family, home). Depending on where Mercury is placed in your chart and what house it rules will show some back up and the past coming back recycling once again in the next few weeks.

Mars and the nodal axis in Libra sits over fixed star, Spica adding auspicious and pleasing conditions.  Spica is regarded as one of the most positive fixed stars and anyone who has Libra at around 23 degrees will find some type of benevolence.  Libra focus on balance, bridges and bonding will show the most benefit.   Mercury in Gemini has been a positive force the last few weeks as Mercury aligned with Mars and with Venus in Gemini harmonizing with Mars in Libra,  the predominance of air signs gives a fresh breeze and perspective on pair bonding, coupling, close alliances,  connections and relationships.
